Type-wise, Smoochum takes extra damage from Fire, Bug, Rock, Ghost, Dark, and Steel. Smoochum's special bulk (base 65 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Weavile can KO Smoochum with Knock Off (311-366%). Volcarona threatens a KO with Flamethrower (137-161%). Rhyperior's Stone Edge also KOs at 390-460%.
