Base Stats
Sliggoo's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Def leads, Defense trails, 2 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 2 Sp. Def EVs, on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
The swirly protrusion on its back is filled with all its vital organs, such as its brain and heart.
Sliggoo Guide
Sliggoo isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Goodra to unlock its full potential. At 452 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Run Sap Sipper on Sliggoo. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Sliggoo also gets Hydration and Gooey, but they don't compare.
Sliggoo fills the support role. It's a mixed attacker with base 75 Attack and 83 Sp. Atk. At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Sliggoo does the job early-game if you need a Dragon type on your team. Evolve it into Goodra before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.
Game Availability
Sliggoo first appeared in X & Y and spans 8 games across 5 generations. It later gained a Hisuian form in Generation 8, adding new dimensions to its competitive identity.
