Sealeo Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Guide
Sealeo is meant to evolve into Walrein. At 410 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
Thick Fat is what you want on Sealeo. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Ice Body, Oblivious) work on paper but Thick Fat is what makes Sealeo worth using.
Base 45 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Sealeo is a mixed attacker with base 60 Attack and 75 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two.
For Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, you can run Sealeo through the first few routes without issues. 410 BST won't carry you far though. Get it to Walrein as fast as you can.
Game Availability
Available in 15 titles since its debut in Ruby & Sapphire, Sealeo spans 8 generations of Pokemon games. It's accessible through catching or hatching as a base form in most mainline games.
