150 Defense and 150 Sp. Def with Steel typing resisting nine types and only three weaknesses. AbilityClear Body blocks all stat drops. MoveStealth Rock sets hazards and MoveToxic pressures opponents passively. But 75/75 offenses and 50 Speed mean the moveset cannot threaten anything directly. B-tier through defensive steel bulk that outlasts through resistances.

For the Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon meta, At 580 BST, Registeel is built different. We rank it B-Tier. As a Legendary Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a wall. Seismic Toss with Leftovers is the standard set.
Registeel is a static encounter at Alola Ultra Space Wilds in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. Registeel appears at level 60. Prerequisite: LIMITED. Save before the encounter. These one-shot Pokemon don't respawn if you knock them out or run out of Poke Balls.
Clear Body prevents stats from being lowered by other Pokémon. That's the one you want on Registeel. Light Metal is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Registeel is a physical attacker with base 75 Attack. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a wall.
