Omastar Weakness
Omastar's Rock/Water typing leaves it vulnerable to Grass, Electric, Fighting, and Ground. Grass hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. 5 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Omastar's physical bulk (base 125 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Fighting, Ground |

Omastar uses its tentacles to capture its prey. It is believed to have become extinct because its shell grew too large and heavy, causing its movements to become too slow and ponderous.
Omastar Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Guide
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Swift Swim changes the entire equation for Omastar. The 495 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a wallbreaker. Shellsmash with White Herb is the standard set.
Swift Swim is what you want on Omastar. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Shell Armor, Weak Armor) work on paper but Swift Swim is what makes Omastar worth using. On wall sets, Swift Swim pairs with Omastar's base 125 Defense to absorb physical hits on the switch.
At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Omastar is a special attacker with base 115 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, run Shellsmash, Ice Beam, Surf, and Earthpower on Omastar. Shellsmash is the most common pick at 0% usage. Surf provides reliable STAB damage.
