Marshtomp Weakness
Marshtomp's Water/Ground typing leaves it vulnerable to Grass. Grass hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Electric-type attacks completely. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses.

Base Stats
The surface of Marshtomp’s body is enveloped by a thin, sticky film that enables it to live on land. This Pokémon plays in mud on beaches when the ocean tide is low.
Marshtomp is much faster at traveling through mud than it is at swimming. This Pokémon’s hindquarters exhibit obvious development, giving it the ability to walk on just its hind legs.
Marshtomp Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Guide
Marshtomp is meant to evolve into Swampert. At 405 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
Torrent strengthens water moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. That's the one you want on Marshtomp. Damp is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Marshtomp is a mixed attacker with base 85 Attack and 60 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two.
For Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, you can run Marshtomp through the first few routes without issues. 405 BST won't carry you far though. Get it to Swampert as fast as you can.
Game Availability
