Lurantis Evolutions
Evolved from Fomantis. Lurantis is the final form in this two-stage line. Plenty of partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. Defense grew the most through evolution (+55 over Fomantis), and Lurantis peaks at 480 total stats. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Lurantis to get Fomantis eggs easily using 67 partners from the Plant egg group. Notable egg moves include Aromatherapy, Defog, Giga Drain and 2 more.
USUM Lurantis Best Moveset
105 Attack at 90/90 defenses with AbilityContrary reversing stat changes as a hidden ability. MoveLeaf Storm under Contrary raises Sp. Atk instead of lowering it. But 45 Speed acts dead last. The moveset has Contrary utility limited by the slowest Speed tier.

The egg pool carries weight here. Aromatherapy and Defog aren't available any other way for Lurantis, and they meaningfully change what it threatens. Stack those on top of Leaf Storm and Solar Blade for solid options.

For self-protection, it pretends to be a bug Pokémon. Both of its arms bear keen-edged petals.
As it slashes into its enemies, it looks like it’s dancing. Its elegant appearance has led some to call it the most glamorous Grass Pokémon.
Lurantis Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Contrary changes the entire equation for Lurantis. The 480 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as an attacker. Superpower with Leftovers is the standard set.
Contrary is what you want on Lurantis. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Leaf Guard) work on paper but Contrary is what makes Lurantis worth using.
Base 45 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Lurantis is a mixed attacker with base 105 Attack and 80 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as an attacker.
For Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, the core moveset is Superpower, Leafblade, Knock Off, and Leaf Storm. Superpower leads at 0% usage. This set covers the attacker role with a mix of damage and utility.
Game Availability
Lurantis joined the series in Sun & Moon and has been available in 4 titles so far. With 4 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
