Lurantis Best Moveset
105 Attack at 45 Speed on Grass with AbilityContrary turning stat drops into boosts. MoveSuperpower under Contrary raises Attack and Defense each use. The moveset stacks boosts by attacking. 90/90 balanced defenses absorb hits between slow boosts. Tera Fighting amplifies Superpower. The concept works, but 45 Speed limits how often the boosts matter before getting KO'd.
Contrary reversed Leaf Storm in Gen VII (Sun & Moon). Sp. Atk rose instead of dropping. 105 Attack was the physical side. 45 Speed was the anchor.

Base Stats
Attack and Defense carry most of Lurantis's stat budget. Speed's the obvious dump stat. Moderately hard to find and yields 2 Attack EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
A lot of time and effort is required to maintain the vivid colors of its petals. This Pokémon puts its Trainer’s attentiveness to the test.
Lurantis Guide
Contrary changes the entire equation for Lurantis. The 480 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as an attacker.
Contrary is what you want on Lurantis. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Leaf Guard) work on paper but Contrary is what makes Lurantis worth using.
Base 45 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Lurantis is a mixed attacker with base 105 Attack and 80 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as an attacker.
The core moveset is Superpower, Leaf Storm, Knock Off, and Leechlife. Superpower leads at 0% usage. This set covers the attacker role with a mix of damage and utility.
Game Availability
Lurantis joined the series in Sun & Moon and has been available in 4 titles so far. With 4 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
