Ledian Weakness
Type-wise, Ledian takes extra damage from Rock, Fire, Electric, Ice, and Flying. Watch out for Rock attacks, those deal 4x damage. Ground moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Ledian's special bulk (base 110 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Rock |
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Electric, Ice, Flying |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Bug |
| 0.25x (Resist) | Grass, Fighting |
| 0x (Immune) | Ground |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)

Ledian Evolutions
Evolved from Ledyba. Ledian is the final form in this two-stage line. Plenty of partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are quick to hatch. Sp.Def grew the most through evolution (+30 over Ledyba), and Ledian peaks at 390 total stats. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
B2W2 Ledian Best Moveset
110 Sp. Def absorbs special attacks at remarkable levels for the tier, but 35 Attack behind Bug/Flying TermStab registers as negligible damage. AbilityIron Fist as a hidden ability boosts punching moves, but the base Attack can't convert the boost. The moveset absorbs special hits and threatens nothing.

Stall teams hate this. Ledian can spread damage across 10 types, with Normal and Fighting punishing common defensive pivots. STAB from Bug Buzz and U-turn keeps the pressure honest on everything else.

Ledian Black 2 & White 2 Guide
In Black 2 & White 2, Ledian's biggest threats include Aerodactyl (Rock), Charizard (Fire), and Raikou (Electric), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Aerodactyl is the most dangerous since Rock moves deal 4x damage. Ice and Flying-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Honestly, in Black 2 & White 2 Ledian is a tough sell at 390 BST. Plenty of stronger Bug/Flying options exist. Fun pick, not a practical one.
For Black 2 & White 2, we rate Ledian C-Tier: a niche pick in Black 2 & White 2's meta. At 390 BST, the stats are spread pretty evenly. Encore with Lightclay is the standard set.
Swarm is the go-to ability for Ledian. It strengthens bug moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. Its hidden ability Iron Fist can work in specific setups. Early Bird is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.
Base 85 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Ledian is a physical attacker with base 35 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Game Availability
