Klinklang Best Moveset

Steel TermStab at 100 Attack with MoveShift Gear for +2 Speed and +1 Attack setup. 90 Speed after one boost outruns most of the format. AbilityClear Body prevents stat manipulation. The moveset sets up and attacks. E-tier because Steel coverage alone is too narrow and 60 HP limits survivability.

Klinklang Weakness

Fire, Fighting, and Ground moves hit Klinklang for super-effective damage. The upside? Poison-type moves can't touch it at all. With 10 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Klinklang's physical bulk (base 115 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Klinklang Guide

  • We rate Klinklang C-Tier: a situational pick that fills a niche. At 520 BST, it fits the attacker role. Base 115 Defense stands out.

  • Watch for Arcanine (Fire), Blaziken (Fighting), and Garchomp (Ground) when using Klinklang. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB.

  • Plus increases Special Attack to 1.5× when a friendly Pokémon has plus or minus. That's the one you want on Klinklang. Clear Body is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Minus works too if your team needs something different.

  • Base 90 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Klinklang is a physical attacker with base 100 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as an attacker.

  • Run Shiftgear, Geargrind, Wild Charge, and Facade on Klinklang. Shiftgear is the most common pick at 0% usage. This set covers the attacker role with a mix of damage and utility.

Game Availability

Klinklang joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 7 titles so far. With 6 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
