Kangaskhan Evolutions
Kangaskhan doesn't evolve, so breeding's where the action is. You'll find plenty of partners across one egg group, and eggs are average hatch time. It's got 13 egg moves worth looking into. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
SM Kangaskhan Best Moveset
Mega Kangaskhan's AbilityParental Bond still fires every attack twice, though the second hit was nerfed to 25%% from 50%% in Gen 6. 125 Attack fires Normal TermStab with the effective 156 power behind the double hit. 100 Speed fires before most defensive targets. The moveset has the double-hit power but the nerf dropped it below the S-tier dominance of Gen 6.

Moves List
STAB runs through Giga Impact and Hyper Beam for the basics, but Kangaskhan's real strength is the 13-type coverage spread. Dark and Dragon hit common defensive types, and the movepool keeps going.

Base Stats
Mega Kangaskhan's strength derives from the mother's happiness about her child's growth. Watching it grow up keeps her spirits high.
Thanks to Mega Evolution, its child grows. But as the child is good only at fighting and nothing else, its mother feels uneasy about its future.
Kangaskhan Sun & Moon Guide
For Sun & Moon, we rate Kangaskhan B-Tier: a solid option in Sun & Moon for the right team. At 590 BST, it fits the sweeper role. Firepunch with Firiumz is the standard set.
In Sun & Moon, Kangaskhan can Mega Evolve into Mega Kangaskhan. That's 690 BST, up from 590. The stat redistribution often changes its best role. Mega Stone required, one per battle.
In Sun & Moon, watch for Hitmonlee (Fighting) when using Kangaskhan. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. Kangaskhan has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Parental Bond lets the bearer hit twice with damaging moves. That's the one you want on Kangaskhan. It's the only ability Kangaskhan has.
Base 100 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Kangaskhan is a physical attacker with base 125 Attack. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a sweeper.
Game Availability
Since debuting in Red & Blue, Kangaskhan has appeared in 20 titles over 10 generations. Along the way, it received a Mega form in Generation 6, keeping it relevant across different competitive metas.
