Is Gligar Good in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Playthrough?
Wild Ground/Flying with only Ice and Water weaknesses. Gliscor via Razor Fang at night is the evolution target, adding a genuine endgame threat. Ground/Flying handles Molayne's E4 with MoveEarthquake and dodges Ground moves entirely.

Gligar Weakness
Gligar's Ground/Flying typing leaves it vulnerable to Ice and Water. Ice hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Electric and Ground-type attacks completely. Gligar's physical bulk (base 105 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

How to Evolve
USUM Gligar Best Moveset
AbilityImmunity as a hidden ability blocks all poison, and Held ItemEviolite pushes 65/105/65 bulk to levels that rival many fully evolved Pokemon. Ground/Flying typing leaves only Ice and Water as weaknesses. MoveDefog clears hazards. The moveset holds A-tier as an Eviolite user whose bulk exceeds Gliscor in raw Defense after the Eviolite boost.

The natural movepool does the job, but Agility and Baton Pass from the egg pool give Gligar something extra. Pair those with Earthquake and Earth Power for STAB and coverage across 8 types for reach, and the kit fills out nicely.

Gligar Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Gligar isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Gliscor to unlock its full potential. At 430 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Hyper Cutter prevents Attack from being lowered by other Pokémon. That's the one you want on Gligar. Immunity is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Sand Veil works too if your team needs something different.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Gligar fills the support role. It's a physical attacker with base 75 Attack. Base 85 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Gligar does the job early-game if you need a Ground/Flying type on your team. Evolve it into Gliscor before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.
Game Availability
Gligar has been available in 17 games since Gold & Silver, though obtaining it requires an item-based evolution. This extra step makes it less common than Pokemon found through standard wild encounters.
