130 Sp. Atk at 110 Defense on pure Ice with 65 Speed. The moveset runs the strongest special Ice TermStab among Eeveelutions. AbilityIce Body heals under snow. 110 Defense tanks physical hits between slow attacks. Tera Ice amplifies the Sp. Atk further. Speed is the constant problem, and Ice typing adds four weaknesses without secondary coverage.
130 Sp. Atk was the highest among Eeveelutions in Gen IV (Diamond & Pearl). Ice was the worst defensive typing. 65 Speed behind Blizzard wasn't enough.

Glaceon's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, Attack trails, 3 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 2 Sp. Atk EVs, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It can control its body temperature at will. This enables it to freeze the moisture in the atmosphere, creating flurries of diamond dust.
Glaceon Guide
Glaceon has a 525 base stat total and ranks as B-Tier: a solid choice for the right team. It works best as a wallbreaker. Base 130 Sp. Atk is where it shines.
Watch for Infernape (Fire), Machamp (Fighting), and Aerodactyl (Rock) when using Glaceon. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Steel-type attackers are also a problem.
Snow Cloak increases evasion to 1.25× during hail. That's the one you want on Glaceon. Ice Body is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Glaceon fills the wallbreaker role. It's a special attacker with base 130 Sp. Atk. At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Run Freezedry, Shadow Ball, Blizzard, and Ice Beam on Glaceon. Freezedry is the most common pick at 0% usage. Blizzard provides reliable STAB damage.
Game Availability
Glaceon has been available in 14 games since Diamond & Pearl, though obtaining it requires an item-based evolution. This extra step makes it less common than Pokemon found through standard wild encounters.
