Genesect Weakness
Fire moves hit Genesect for super-effective damage. Fire hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. The upside? Poison-type moves can't touch it at all. With 8 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. With 71 HP and balanced defenses, Genesect can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.

Genesect Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Guide
For the Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon meta, At 600 BST, Genesect is built different. We rank it B-Tier. As a Mythical Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a wallbreaker. U Turn with Choice Scarf is the standard set.
Download raises the attack stat corresponding to the opponents' weaker defense one stage upon entering battle. That's the one you want on Genesect. It's the only ability Genesect has.
Base 99 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Genesect is a mixed attacker with base 120 Attack and 120 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, run U Turn, Technoblast, Flamethrower, and Ironhead on Genesect. U Turn is the most common pick at 0% usage. This set covers the wallbreaker role with a mix of damage and utility.
Game Availability
