Is Flareon Good in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Playthrough?
ORAS finally lets Flareon's 130 Attack connect to physical Fire via MoveFlare Blitz. The original Ruby and Sapphire ran Fire as Special, completely wasting that stat. Still not the best Fire option, but at least the signature strength works now.

Flareon Weakness
Flareon is weak to Water, Ground, and Rock. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Flash Fire grants an additional Fire immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Flareon's special bulk (base 110 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Flareon Evolutions
Eevee's line splits into 8 evolutions, and Flareon is the item path. Each sibling form needs a different method to obtain. Breed through Eevee to get eggs. Flareon and Vaporeon share the same 525 total stats, but they're distributed differently. Check the comparison below to see where each one specializes. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Flareon to get Eevee eggs (with patience) using 200 partners from the Ground egg group. Notable egg moves include Captivate, Charm, Covet and 11 more.
ORAS Flareon Best Moveset
130 Attack is one of the highest among Fire types, but the physical Fire moveset lacks reliable moves since MoveFlare Blitz carries heavy recoil. AbilityGuts boosts Attack through status. The moveset has raw power but can't sustain it, and Arcanine fills every Fire role better.

Flareon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Guide
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Flash Fire changes the entire equation for Flareon. The 525 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a wallbreaker. Flamecharge with Toxic Orb is the standard set.
Flash Fire is what you want on Flareon. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Guts) work on paper but Flash Fire is what makes Flareon worth using. Flash Fire synergizes with Flareon's base 110 Sp.Def, letting it soak special attacks as a pivot.
At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Flareon is a physical attacker with base 130 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
For Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, the core moveset is Flamecharge, Flare Blitz, Superpower, and Facade. Flamecharge leads at 0% usage. This set covers the wallbreaker role with a mix of damage and utility.
Game Availability
