Crashed from A-tier as 55 Speed and the seven type weaknesses from Grass/Psychic typing accumulated in a faster format. AbilityChlorophyll doubles that Speed in sun, and hidden AbilityHarvest cycles berries for sustained play. 125 Sp. Atk gives the moveset raw special power, but D-tier because too many common types exploit the dual typing.

In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Chlorophyll changes the entire equation for Exeggutor. The 530 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a wallbreaker. Psychic with Choice Specs is the standard set.
In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, watch for Pinsir (Bug), Arcanine (Fire), and Lapras (Ice) when using Exeggutor. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Pinsir is the most dangerous since Bug moves deal 4x damage. Poison, Flying, Ghost, and Dark-type attackers are also a problem. With 7 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Chlorophyll is what you want on Exeggutor. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Harvest) work on paper but Chlorophyll is what makes Exeggutor worth using.
At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Exeggutor is a mixed attacker with base 95 Attack and 125 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, run Psychic, Leaf Storm, Explosion, and Grassknot on Exeggutor. Psychic is the most common pick at 0% usage. Psychic provides reliable STAB damage.
