Is Electrode Good in Black 2 & White 2 Playthrough?

Voltorb evolves at level 30. Electric with AbilityStatic. Transfer only. The fastest Electric option if imported. Handles Skyla and Marlon but can't match Galvantula or Magnezone in power. Speed is the only selling point.

B2W2 Electrode Best Moveset

150 Speed guarantees moving first against nearly everything in the format. 80 Sp. Atk fires Electric TermStab before opponents can respond, and the moveset answers any slower target by simply acting first. AbilityAftermath damages the attacker on KO. The Speed advantage is real, but the damage output barely threatens bulkier targets.

Moves List

The level-up pool tells the story here. Electrode learns Self-Destruct and Explosion naturally, plus enough variety that TMs feel like bonuses. Normal and Rock coverage and more extends the reach beyond that.

Pokemon Black 2 / Pokemon White 2

Electrode Black 2 & White 2 Guide

  • In Black 2 & White 2, Electrode works as a pivot with 480 BST behind it. C-Tier on our list: a niche pick in Black 2 & White 2's meta. Volt Switch with Magnet is the standard set.

  • In Black 2 & White 2, watch for Rhydon (Ground) when using Electrode. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. Electrode's base 140 Speed lets it outpace many threats and strike first, which matters more than trying to tank hits.

  • Soundproof protects against sound-based moves. That's the one you want on Electrode. Aftermath is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Static works too if your team needs something different.

  • Electrode is a mixed attacker with base 50 Attack and 80 Sp. Atk. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 140 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the pivot role.

  • In Black 2 & White 2, run Volt Switch, Light Screen, Thunderbolt, and Hiddenpowerfire on Electrode. Volt Switch is the most common pick at 0% usage. Thunderbolt provides reliable STAB damage.

Game Availability

Available since Red & Blue, Electrode appears in 20 games spanning 10 generations. Beyond its original form, it gained a Hisuian form in Generation 8.
