Is Dugtrio Good in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Playthrough?
The evolved form brings Ground/Steel typing with speed that outpaces most of the roster. MoveEarthquake handles Molayne's E4 well, and Molayne actually runs one himself. Paper-thin defenses mean one wrong hit ends things, but the type coverage is worth the risk.

Dugtrio Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Guide
For Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, it depends on your team. Dugtrio at 425 BST isn't a powerhouse, but the Ground coverage might be exactly what you're missing.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Dugtrio has a 425 base stat total and ranks as B-Tier: a solid option in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon for the right team. It works best as a sweeper. Earthquake with Focus Sash is the standard set.
Sand Veil increases evasion to 1.25× during a sandstorm. That's the one you want on Dugtrio. Sand Force is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Arena Trap works too if your team needs something different.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Dugtrio fills the sweeper role. It's a physical attacker with base 100 Attack. Base 120 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's fragile, can't afford to take many hits.
Game Availability
Dugtrio first appeared in Red & Blue and spans 20 games across 10 generations. It later gained an Alolan form in Generation 7, adding new dimensions to its competitive identity.
