Diggersby Best Moveset

Normal/Ground dual TermStab at 56 Attack fires on 78 Speed cooldowns with minimal damage. 85/77/77 bulk is serviceable for surviving, but the Attack stat can't threaten anything. Without Huge Power from other games, the raw 56 Attack is all the moveset has.

Diggersby Guide

  • Diggersby's biggest threats include Gyarados (Water), Exeggutor (Grass), and Walrein (Ice), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Fighting-type attackers are also a problem.

  • Diggersby can work for a story run. 423 BST is average, but Normal/Ground typing fills a niche depending on your team composition.

  • Don't let Diggersby's 423 base stat total fool you. Huge Power is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier.

  • Run Huge Power on Diggersby. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Diggersby also gets Pickup and Cheek Pouch, but they don't compare.

  • Huge Power is the hidden ability. It doubles Attack in battle. Worth hunting for if you want Diggersby to compete at a higher level.

Game Availability

Introduced in X & Y, Diggersby has appeared in 6 games across 5 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
