Braixen Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Guide
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Braixen isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Delphox to unlock its full potential. At 409 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Braixen's biggest threats include Greninja (Water), Rhydon (Ground), and Aerodactyl (Rock), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.
Blaze is the go-to ability for Braixen. It strengthens fire moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. Its hidden ability Magician can work in specific setups.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Braixen fills the support role. It's a special attacker with base 90 Sp. Atk. Base 73 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Braixen does the job early-game if you need a Fire type on your team. Evolve it into Delphox before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.
Game Availability
Introduced in X & Y, Braixen has appeared in 6 games across 5 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
