At 362 BST, Amaura is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Aurorus before bringing it to any serious fight.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Amaura's biggest threats include Lucario (Fighting), Metagross (Steel), and Milotic (Water), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Lucario is the most dangerous since Fighting moves deal 4x damage. Grass, Ground, and Rock-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Revive from a fossil at the Devon Corporation in Rustboro City. Fossils found by Rock Smash in Mirage Spots.. Amaura is revived at level 5. Give it Rare Candies or experience-share if you want it ready for the late-game.
Amaura gets Snow Warning and Refrigerate. But Snow Warning is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Snow Warning is the hidden ability. It summons hail that lasts indefinitely upon entering battle. Worth hunting for if you want Amaura to compete at a higher level.
