Is Altaria Good in Legends: Z-A Playthrough?
Mega Altaria changes the typing from Dragon and Flying to Dragon and Fairy, which is one of the strongest defensive combinations available. Dragon coverage handles most encounters neutrally while Fairy shuts down opposing Dragons entirely. Available from Hyperspace around level 35. A Mega that completely changes the role of the Pokemon it evolves from.

Altaria Legends: Z-A Guide
For Legends: Z-A, we rate Altaria C-Tier: a niche pick in Legends: Z-A's meta. At 590 BST, it fits the support role. Roost with Heavy-Duty Boots is the standard set.
Mega Evolution isn't available in Legends: Z-A, but Altaria does have a Mega form in Gen 6-7 games (X/Y, ORAS, Sun/Moon). Mega Altaria hits 690 BST.
Pixilate is the go-to ability for Altaria. It turns the bearer's normal moves into fairy moves and strengthens them to 1.3× their power. It's Altaria's only ability.
Base 80 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Altaria is a mixed attacker with base 110 Attack and 110 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a support.
