How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Accelgor to get Shelmet eggs easily using 77 partners from the Bug egg group. Notable egg moves include Baton Pass, Double-Edge, Encore and 8 more.
USUM Accelgor Best Moveset
145 Speed makes Accelgor one of the fastest Pokemon in the format. 100 Sp. Atk with Bug TermStab and MoveSpikes set hazards before nearly anything acts. AbilityUnburden doubles Speed further after item use. But 80/40/60 bulk crumbles to any hit. The moveset holds C-tier through raw Speed and hazard setting.

Moves List
Don't skip the egg moves. Accelgor picks up Baton Pass and Double-Edge only through breeding, and both fill gaps the natural movepool can't. STAB runs through Bug Buzz and Leech Life while coverage across 7 types adds range.

Accelgor Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Accelgor works as a sweeper with 495 BST behind it. B-Tier on our list: a solid option in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon for the right team. Bugbuzz with Focus Sash is the standard set.
No. Accelgor is not catchable in the wild. It only comes from trade-evolving Shelmet. Trade needs a Game Boy Advance link cable and a second GBA running another Gen 3 game (FireRed, LeafGreen, Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald). Trade Shelmet to a friend, then have them trade it back. The 2026 Switch re-release supports the same trade through local wireless on the Pokemon Center 2F Wireless Club, with no cables required.
Hydration cures any major status ailment after each turn during rain. That's the one you want on Accelgor. Unburden is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Sticky Hold works too if your team needs something different.
Accelgor is a special attacker with base 100 Sp. Atk. Speed tells the real story. Base 145 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the sweeper role.
Game Availability
