This is our guide on Amiibo in Animal Crossing New Horizons. In this guide, you will learn what Amiibo is, what they are used for in-game, and how to use them. Amiibo has been used in Animal Crossing New Leaf during the Welcome Amiibo update, and they allowed you to summon Villagers to your town that you could convince to stay in your town. It was always helpful for when you wanted your favorite Villagers to live in your town with you, and this time is no different.
What Are Amiibo In Animal Crossing New Horizons
Amiibo or Amiibo Cards are little statues or cards, respectively, that when used in Animal Crossing New Horizons, allows you to summon Villagers to either live on your Island or take pictures with them. These are the things you can do with Amiibo in ACNH.
- Invite specific Villagers to your Island (This can be done at the Campground, only after you invite the first Villager that appears there.)
- Take photos in Photopia (When you Visit Harvey’s Island you will have the ability to scan Amiibo to summon Villagers and certain special Characters to take pictures with.)
How To Use Amiibo In Animal Crossing New Horizons
If you want to invite a Villager to the Campground, for example, you will first want to go into the Resident Services Building and go to the Terminal (Nook Stop) in the corner of the room, and press the option “Invite Camper.”
You will want to tap your Amiibo or Amiibo Card on the NFC TouchPoint (The Joystick on the right Joycon, or the middle of your Pro Controller.)
If the game recognizes your Amiibo, it will then ask you if you would like to Invite that Villager to the Campground. Once invited, you will be able to convince that Villager to move onto your Island when you speak to them at the Campsite.
